Welcome to the musical world of Opiuo, a precisely blended concoction of tight irresistible grooves, chunk fueled bouncy beats, luscious brooding soundscapes, dollops of stomach morphing bass, and a bowl of scrumptious glitch. A self confessed music addict with a light hearted approach to life and art, Opiuo is at his best whilst hiding from the world and creating fun fueled music. Influences coming from everything, from life changing experiences, to mere cups of tea. Incorporating sounds as varied as jazz, reggae, funk, rock, psychedelia, and down right chunky goodness.
The highly sought after sound of this New Zealand native and current Melbourne resident is being included in DJ sets from some of the biggest names in the business, and featuring on high profile radio stations, including the infamous BBC Radio One (UK). He’s performed alongside the likes of MC Hammer, Bassnectar, FreQ Nasty, and Tipper. His latest full length release “Slurp And Giggle” is nominated for Best Dance / Electronic Release at the Australian Independent Music Awards, and currently sits as the most downloaded album for 2010 on addictech.com With music out on some of the worlds most respected electronic music labels including; Muti Music, Addictech Records, Rottun Recordings, Iboga Records, Home Breakin Records, Colony Productions, and Empathy Records, the Opiuo train is definitely in motion!

Classically trained on the piano, trumpet, saxophone and flute, Russ Liquid applies the colorful tones of instrumental music to the realm of beats with dance floor-rocking results. This talented producer has found an entirely new palette to “paint” with, and now he seeks to bridge the gap between classical and modern music with new electronic technology and sonic possibilities.

Longwalk Shortdock with RIM Visuals
A veteran of sound design and electronic music production for well over a decade, Longwalkshortdock’s music has stepped into a genre of its own. Heavily influenced by early 80s video game music, metal and rock music, found-sound and vintage analog synthesis, he stacks layers of melody in his tracks until they implode and reform. Heavy drums and aggressive synths join forces with rolling grooves and melodic lead lines to create a wide variety of slamming dance floor originals. Lesser known fact : Not limited to dance music, LWSD’s music crosses into many territories. His vast catalogue of hundreds of songs dives into ambient, IDM, electro, acid, house, big beat, indie rock, drones, electronica and down tempo.
Always working to enhance and upgrade the LWSD live experience Dave is currently in the process of collaborating with veteran of visual wizardry Tim Hill of RimVisuals. Using at least 10 projectors loaded with custom content, the live LWSD experience is nothing short of a full venue transformation into a etherial and immersive light cube of doom!

Tim Hill is a Vancouver-based artist whose audio-visual sculptures have crossed oceans and borders, thereby playing his part in connecting the ends of the world wide electronic maze.
Hill tuned in at the creative peak of the scene’s 1990′s heyday and remains involved, inspired, and influential today. He has worked as visualist for industrial icons Skinny Puppy on their US & European tours since 2007, ohGr since 2008, and numerous side projects of his own; for Frozen Rabbit, TheRobotRim, and at SoundWave and countless domestic and international electronic festivals, weekly club nights, and one-off events.

In addition JPOD runs a cutting-edge digital label called Swing Set Sounds which is aimed not only at providing great music but also various tools for new wave producers and remix DJs. Having toured extensively in Western Canada and now Australia at both clubs and festivals, JPOD continues to energetically spread his sound to all open ears.
