Ticket Purchasing policies
The following purchase policies are designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of the purchase process on footwerk.ca. If you have any questions about the information below, please Contact us. This Purchase Policy is subject to, and incorporates by this reference, the Terms of Use. Each ticket that you purchase is a license to attend a particular event, and is subject to the additional terms set forth on that ticket and the event provider.
Currency
All ticket prices for events are stated in Canadian Dollars, however, other forms of currency are accepted through PayPal, but are subject to exchange fees and will be adjusted to collect the appropriate amount in Canadian funds.
Payment Methods
Footwerk.ca accepts several methods of payment to accommodate your needs through the best method of online money transfer, PayPal. This provider accepts a range of payment methods, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal direct transfers.
Who You Are Buying Tickets From
Footwerk.ca acts as the agent to those who are promoting or otherwise providing the events for which you purchase tickets (“Event Provider”). When you purchase a ticket for an event that is located in the Canada, then footwerk.ca will be handling the transaction and collecting payment for the Event Provider. To ensure reliable service and entertainment, footwerk.ca reserves the right to sell event tickets for only those Event Providers that footwerk.ca deems to be of good standing. This right of refusal is to protect both footwerk.ca and you, the attendee, from potential fraud and/or hazard to personal being.
Pricing and Availability
Footwerk.ca sells event tickets on behalf of Event Promoters, which means footwerk.ca does not set the ticket prices or determine event locations, except under circumstances where Footwerk Events is involved in Event Promotion and Production. Event Tickets are generally sold through several distribution points, including Retail Locations, Personal Sale, or third parties. Most distribution points generally access the same ticketing inventory, therefore, tickets for popular events may sell out quickly. Occasionally, additional tickets may be available prior to the event and/or before general sale goes public (presale/early birds). However, footwerk.ca does not control this inventory or its availability and is at the discretion of the event promoter.
Confirmation Email
Footwerk.ca does not issue hardcopy tickets, we (as a third party) issue ticket vouchers which are accepted as the equivalent of a hardcopy ticket at the door/gate of the event you are attending. After completing your transaction, an email confirming your payment to Footwerk Events will be sent to the email address you entered during the transaction. Do not reply to this email, as it is sent automatically and is not from an address that is checked. To reply, refer to the Contact Us section of this site. To ensure that the confirmation email is properly processed, please keep the default settings of your account, specifically the setting of receiving HTML embedded emails. Changing this setting to allow only basic text emails will not result in your Email Confirmation being properly sent. As well, please double check that the email address you provided is the correct and most current one and that you have entered it properly. In the event that a sent confirmation email is inaccessible by the purchaser, the Email Confirmation will only be reissued to the email address provided through your PayPal purchase, and no other.
Order Confirmation
If you do not receive a Confirmation Email after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm with footwerk.ca whether or not your order has been placed. Please use the Contact Us section of this site, or email us. Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. Footwerk.ca will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that an order was not placed because you failed to receive confirmation.
Ticket Transfer / Resale
If you are not able to attend the event for which you have purchased ticket codes through footwerk.ca, your Receipt Number may me given / resold to another person. To do so, simply provide the new attendee with a copy of the Confirmation Email, or at the very least. If an event is canceled, and a refund issued, the funds for the ticket will be issued back to the original purchaser, via the same method of the original purchase transaction. In the event of ticket resale, it is the responsibility of those involved in the resale of tickets to resolve the refund of these funds once they have been transferred back to the original purchaser. Footwerk.ca does not have any involvement in ticket resale and should not be held responsible for any disputes or loss of funds incurred from a Ticket Transfer or Resale.
Convenience Charges and Order Processing/Service Fees
Tickets purchased on footwerk.ca are typically subject to a per ticket convenience charge and a non-refundable per order processing fee. The per ticket convenience charge may or may not be waived and is of the discretion of footwerk.ca. In the event of a canceled (and therefore) refunded event ticket, this fee will not be refunded, and additional refund transfer fees may be charged for payment retransfer services.
Refunds and Cancellation
In the case of a cancelled event, footwerk.ca will issue a refund for tickets purchased for that particular event. The funds collected will be subject to a second payment transfer fee and is charged by PayPal for use of their payment transfer services. The refund will be a transaction with the purchaser through PayPal and will not be subject to any other means of transfer, in essence, the purchase will be reversed through the same channels it was initiated. A refund/cancellation call is made on the discretion of the Event Provider first and foremost, and will only be initiated by footwerk.ca in the event that we determine the event to be terminated for breach of contract, as specified by our Terms of Use agreement with the Event Provider.
In the event of a Credit Card Chargeback/Reversal or challenge for transferred funds, footwerk.ca reserves the right to terminate or reverse any and all future service(s) with the customer(s) involved. Footwerk.ca will challenge any and all Reversals to it’s fullest extent, within the stated agreement outlined in the Website Terms and Conditions of Use. Violations of these Terms and Conditions, including Credit Card Fraud, may be investigated and appropriate legal action may be taken, including without limitation civil, criminal and injunctive redress.
Lost or Stolen Tickets
In the event that your Confirmation Email is misplaced and irretrievable through any means, footwerk.ca will not reissue another Confirmation Email or refund the collected funds. The purchased ticket, once issued, is the sole responsibility of the purchaser and the safety and security of that ticket is treated the same as the purchase of a hardcopy ticket from a Retail Vendor. In the event that a Confirmation Email or the Receipt Number contained within is stolen or copied, footwerk.ca will not reissue another Receipt Number or refund the collected funds. If a ticket(s) is reported stolen, we will cancel the Receipt Number once we receive notice that it has been stolen. This number will not be valid at the door / gate to that event, and those attempting to use these ticket codes may be subject to appropriate legal action if deemed necessary.
